This Year's Theme:

EMERGENCE

During these times of rapid change and uncertainty, it is the wise women at the edge of the forest, communing with the nature spirits, embodying the elements and building altars to the goddess that keep the hearth fires burning, the stories circulating, the sacred well songs bellowing.

We are the wise women, keepers of the wild places.

Our bodies contain the depth of mystery and infinite vital creation.

While the Man works to keep us down, we dance to keep the divine feminine alight. This is our power, this is our purpose, this is our emergence.

We call on a new world, a Great Turning, one in which women and the Earth are honored, cared for and in balance.

We call on Mother Earth to show us the way. We call on each other for support.

Let's return to the forest together and recall our wild souls. We will draw on the energy of the New Moon to guide what is emerging in us, and steer what is emerging in the world, to care for ourselves and each other, so we may return with blooming hope, grounded energy and mud under our nails.

“The most remarkable feature of this historical moment on Earth, is not that we are on the way to destroying the world — we've actually been on the way for quite a while. It is that we are beginning to wake up, as from a millennia-long sleep, to a whole new relationship to our world, to ourselves and each other.”

Dark Wood Wandering

Join April for an evening hike and sensory immersion into the forest after dark. The literal and symbolic darkness has much to teach us! Starting at dusk on the trail, we will take a much slower pace, relying less on our eyes as we drop into the sounds, smells, and feel of the night world. Bring a red-light headlamp if you have one.

Forest Bathing

Johanna will guide this 2 hour journey into the liminal realm where the forest will open us to the limitless possibilities of rewilding our spirits. Mindfulness invations will serve to calm your nervous system and bring you into relationship with the land that we will be communing with all weekend. Forest Bathing ends with gathering for forest tea.

Mudras Workshop

Together with Amanda's guidance we will learn ways to warm up our hands, relate mudras to each chakra, combine breath and mudras for a chakra cleanse meditation and intuitively pick cards from a mudra deck to give us insight into what will be emerging in the coming year.

Water Be My Teacher

Gather with Silke around the sacred waters where Water will guide us in ceremony and awaken memories. We will invite her to sing through us, have a waterblessing and be fully present to her being.

Emergence Ceremony

Fire, dance, drumming and singing. We will create an emergence spell together, using the twilight space of the new moon to conjure magic and hope for the months ahead.

Who knows what tent dreams we may have?

Gentle AM Yoga

Bring your mat or towel and join us by the river to allow the sounds of a new day to guide our meditation and slow movement practice and embody the previous night's intentions. We will end with guided journal prompts to close out our retreat.

Not all of us are comfortable camping or have camping gear and some of us are old pros. We will support each other when the need arises, creating a safe space to ask for help from each other whether if it is being witness to heavy emotions or lending out a tent or giving a hand across the river.

“Fill your life with women that empower you, that help you believe in your magic and aid them to believe in their own exceptional power and their incredible magic too. Women that believe in each other can survive anything."

--Nikita Gill
